We invite all interested parents to an informational meeting: "Montessori Stepping Stones" - an adaptation program for Montessori preschool.

The meeting will be held on February 21 at 6:00 pm at the Academy.

Program description:

Kindergarten is the first important link in the educational process. That is why it is so essential for the child to get to know the new environment with a sense of security. Then they have a chance for harmonious development. The beginning of the adaptation process, which is usually very difficult for both the child and the parent, may influence the child's further development.

Montessori STEPPING STONES classes are conducted in small groups of max ten children in the company of carers in the atmosphere of trust, understanding and acceptance.

The program is based on the assumptions of pedagogy of Maria Montessori, who formulated the famous sentence which constitutes the principle of upbringing using the Montessori method - "help me do it myself".

The aim of the meetings is:

  • making children independent and facilitating stress-free entry into the world of the preschool group,
  • facilitating acceptance of the presence of other children and adults around the child,
  • to facilitate the children's conscious participation in the preschool space through creative musical, motor, and artistic activities
  • helping to build the first relationships with the instructor-teacher, an adult other than the person from the child's home environment,
  • improving "small motor skills",
  • improving eye-hand coordination,
  • shaping body awareness
  • releasing children's natural expression (classes strongly affect the senses, are creative, sensory, allow children to "uncontrolled" work with different materials (beware that children get dirty!) and all this in a positive and giving a lot of smiles and satisfaction atmosphere.

During the classes, there will be time for a shared meal for children, thanks to which we will introduce toddlers to important rules of eating meals together.

The repetitive rhythm of classes gives the youngest a sense of security and creates habits that make it easier for them to smoothly transition and find their way in a new environment - the preschool group.
