Science Show - chemical and physical demonstrations performed by Centurion
Science Show!
After lights out, to the sounds of atmospheric and mysterious music, it began!
Metals glowed with different colours. Liquids changed colour or foamed. Lemons energized light bulbs - for real! Coloured foam popped out of menzies like a rabbit out of a hat; in addition, our alchemists called it "elephant paste". Dry ice reacted to all this so that a thick fog crawled out of Tymon's table. The whole was complemented by 3D optical illusions in Alex and Robert's magic box.
Two hours of spectacular physical and chemical experiments resulted from careful preparations by grades 4 and 5 (Centurion) at our Montessori Academy. The show was attended by all the school students, eagerly awaiting the start. Each part was appreciated with thunderous applause, which best proves the good atmosphere and high level of Science Show.
Combining theory and practice is a perfect way to make sometimes tricky subjects easier, more understandable and engaging.
