We collect used batteries!
We have provided a special container for the collection of used batteries at our Montessori Academy.
If you have alkaline cells that have expired, you can bring them to us and put them in the green REBA container.
In accordance with the collection rules, we kindly ask you do not return:
- lithium-ion cells
- swollen or damaged batteries.
The batteries will be handed over to the REBA Recovery Organisation. They will be recycled and heavy metals such as: mercury, cadmium and nickel will not enter the environment. Metal and graphite are also recovered in the process.
Remember that even a small battery can contaminate up to several hundred litres of water!
