The International Mathematical Kangaroo Competition is held in six categories.
This year, International Montessori Academy students entered two of them: Toddler (3-4th grade) and Benjamin (5th-6th grade). The competition requires logical and unconventional thinking skills. We also want to emphasize that all Academy students entered it voluntarily.
It is very important to us that children decide on their own, without pressure from their surroundings, to test their skills without expecting specific results. We are committed to ensuring that students enjoy the process of acquiring knowledge. This is the highest value for us, regardless of the results achieved!
The results are as follows:
- 4 out of 13 children competing in the competition received honorable mentions. This gives the school a very high score as 30% of the distinguished participants.
- In the 2M category, there were 113 distinctions in the entire district, of which as many as 4 went to the International Montessori Academy.
- One of the students received a score that ranked in the top 1% of the district's scores and the other three scores ranked in the top 10% of the district's scores.
- There were 60 honors in the 2B category, of which 1 went to our Academy. The result was in the 10% of the highest results in the district.
- All of the honored participants achieved results that were in the top 10% of the country!
- Children who did not receive honorable mentions also achieved high results.
Congratulations to all of them!
