This year's Green School trip is behind us – three days full of amazing adventures, outdoor learning and building great relationships. It was a time when the children not only gained new knowledge but, above all, learned independence, responsibility and true teamwork!

Day 1: Learning through experience and discovering the world

Our adventure started in the best possible way. On the way to Karpacz, we stopped at the Sudetic Educational Homestead in Dobków. It was there, through fascinating experiments, that the students explored the world of colours and took part in extraordinary workshops on rocks, minerals and volcanoes. The seismic shock simulator located there – a special platform depicting an earthquake – aroused the greatest curiosity. You can feel on it what happens when such a cataclysm occurs. It was a wonderful start, full of children's curiosity and hands-on learning. We ended the day with a delicious dinner together and evening reading, which allowed us to wind down before the next challenges.

Day 2: A piece of Finland in the Karkonosze Mountains and a mountain hike

On the second day, we woke up rested and full of excitement – ahead of us was the highlight of the programme that everyone had been waiting for! We went to the Kalevala Lappish Village in Borowice. The guide transported us to the world of the far North: we learned interesting facts about Finland, reindeer, the Finnish first-aid kit and everyday life in Lapland. Discovering the world of the Moomins (we saw their houses and tents!) and the Angry Birds house brought immense joy to the children. However, the biggest hit turned out to be a walk with three beautiful Husky dogs. The children, under the watchful eye of their guardians, had the opportunity to walk them themselves. There was a lot of laughter and fantastic fun! We spent the afternoon on a mountain trail. Going down was pleasant, but the way back uphill turned out to be a real, albeit very satisfying, challenge! Along the way, we admired the Wild Waterfall and saw with our own eyes (using water bottles) how the famous gravitational anomaly in Karpacz works. The mountains also served us a full cross-section of weather – from sunshine, through fog, to hail and rain. Thanks to this, we felt the true mountain climate, and a massive dose of fresh air had a refreshing effect on everyone.

Day 3: A walk in the clouds and a great lesson in cooperation

The time came for the finale of our trip. After packing our luggage, we set off for Świeradów-Zdrój to the famous Sky Walk. Climbing the observation tower was a true adventure – with every step we got higher and higher, and the views took our breath away. For some children, the altitude was quite a challenge, but thanks to mutual support, we managed perfectly. Most of the group reached the very top, and those who decided to turn back earlier did so with a full sense of safety and respect for their own boundaries. We concluded our trip with a shared meal, full of conversations and smiles.

Closing remarks

This year's Green School trip was a massive training in independence. The children showed how wonderfully they can cooperate, take care of one another and keep moving forward, even when things get a bit uphill. You can be immensely proud of them! We brought back from the mountains not only our suitcases, but above all beautiful memories, friendships and the self-confidence that is born from overcoming one's own weaknesses.

Thank you for your trust! See you on future school trails!
